Sandwich Goes French for Le Weekend wiith a packed programme including
French Market – an authentic Normandy Market all day Saturday and Sunday. ‘France at Home’ bring with them foods, cheeses soaps, leathers, clothing, and all the sights, sounds and smells of a genuine French Market. The aromas of tartiflette and crepes cooking always draws people in! The market will be open on Saturday from 0900 am and may still be open at 6.00pm as it was last year! On Sunday it will trade from 10.00am to 4.00pm

Street Music and Dancing
Saturday and Sunday11am to 4pm Street closures allow Sandwich to transform itself into a free outdoor French ‘Theatre de Music’ with music from ‘Les Troubadours de Paris’ and others. And, by popular request, the Can Can dnacers are back in 2013!
Market Street will again be transformed into an outdoor Cafe concert venue from 11.00am to 4.00pm both days. Stalls will sell refreshments and tables and chairs will be availbale for your comfort.

La Balade de Sandwich
Classic cars meet French Style! On both days participants will gather on the Quay Green for a continental breakfast.
On Saturday they will then go on un petit tour, a short road run, returning to Sandwich for a riverside picnic and enjoyment of the many other French themed activities.
On Sunday after petite dejeuner the participants will depart on un grand tour of around 45 miles, visiting places of interest and returning to the Quay for a riverside picnic, prizes and an opportunity to enjoy the other festivities.

Cycling-Le Tour de Sandwich and Le Petit Tour de Sandwich
NEWS: Le Tour de Sandwich 2013 will take place on Sunday 9th June.
  
Le Tour 2013 will start from Bay Point Leisure Centre (
on the site of the former Pfizer Club between Sandwich and Ramsgate) and end in Sandwich Town Velo Parc St Peters. The event is being supported by the British Cycling Association who will handle pre-registration.
There will be three routes in 2013: Red White and Blue:
Red is the 100k sportive taking in some of the finest views in East Kent
White is a 50K ride with a more gentle profile
Blue is the in-between 75k

All routes will include at least one refreshment stop. Further refreshments and a tour T shirt for all participants on return to Sandwich.
Fee for 2013: £15 pre-registered with British Cycling and £20 on the day. Fee includes route maps, refreshments, T shirt and insurance.

Le Petit Tour
A free to enter fun ride on Saturday June 8th.
Assemble at the Quay Green for a 12 noon start and join in. The route is flat, towards the Bay and then towards Deal. Simply return when you have reached your personal half-way stage. A free medal will be given to all under 14 year olds.
